\u201cStartIn Project\u201d is connected to several main objectives and features of both Erasmus+ programme and its KA1. First of all, it supports professional development of youth workers and it provides them with tools to facilitate learning and development of young migrants and refugees in different contexts. Through its practical part, it stimulates their creative and innovative thinking in designing experiential learning activities, based on young migrants and refugee\u2019s needs and requirements for their social inclusion.<\/p>\n

Personal development, creativity and well-being have the potential of becoming the key outcomes of a learning system that follows the right track. This \u201cright track\u201d involves the use of innovative pedagogical methods, enjoyable and inspirational environments, collaborative learning that rests on a competence-based and learner-centred approach. And because we are all different, education needs to take into account the rich diversity of individuals. Only by being open to and accepting our differences will we manage to reach out to disadvantaged groups, will we succeed in keeping learners in the learning pathway and encourage a positive attitude towards learning throughout life.<\/p>\n

The main aim of the project is to increase the quality of youth work services for migrants and refugees by equipping youth workers (coordinators, facilitators, mentors) with competencies in facilitating experiential learning.<\/p>\n

The project is based on an intensive experiential learning process to reach following objectives:
\n \u2022 To enable participants to go through an experiential learning process and reflect on its different steps;
\n \u2022 To gain understanding on how to turn experience into learning and how to make it relevant for the needs of young migrants and refugees;
\n \u2022 to provide participants with educational tools and methodologies that will enable them to act as multipliers on refugee related issues in their work with young people;
\n \u2022 to enable participants to make informed decisions regarding their work on refugee related issues;
\n \u2022 to explore the dimensions of diversity in refugee related issues.<\/p>\n

\u2022 To increase the knowledge of the background to experiential learning (theory, concepts, steps, philosophy);
\n \u2022 To increase the practical facilitation skills in experiential learning cycle (in various settings-beyond workshop context);
\n \u2022 To develop practical skills in designing and implementing experiential learning activities;
\n \u2022 To recognise the link between practical experiences and competencies gained for improving integration of migrants and refugees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
