From a youth work practice perspective, the project creates a participatory non-formal learning environment where young people learn through direct experience, reflection, and practical application in their communities.
The objectives of the project are:
– To improve media literacy and critical thinking skills among 36 young people (aged 18–25), the majority with fewer opportunities, through practical fact-checking activities, online content analysis, and structured debates.
Indicators: pre- and post-project questionnaires; at least 70% of participants report improved ability to recognise misleading content.
Targeted competences:
a) Knowledge – mechanisms of misinformation, EU values, reliable sources.
b) Skills – information verification, argumentation, critical analysis.
c) Attitudes – digital responsibility, curiosity, critical mindset.
– To equip participants with at least three practical digital tools (fact-checking platforms, media analysis applications, source evaluation methods), applied during workshops and reflected upon in the Youthpass process.
Indicators: completed practical exercises, media products created, final self-assessment.
Targeted competences:
a) Knowledge – digital citizenship concepts.
b) Skills – responsible use of digital tools, teamwork.
c) Attitudes – active engagement and openness to intercultural collaboration.
– To empower young people as local multipliers, ensuring that each national group organises at least one follow-up activity (workshop, presentation, or online campaign) within three months after the exchange.
Indicators: number of local activities implemented, estimated number of young people reached, collected feedback.
Targeted competences:
a) Knowledge – non-formal facilitation methods.
b) Skills – leadership, planning, public communication.
c) Attitudes – initiative and civic responsibility.
– To integrate a sustainability dimension into digital practices by introducing the concepts of “digital footprint” and “digital waste” through one dedicated workshop and an eco-digital challenge.
Indicators: reflection journals and final feedback; at least 60–70% of participants report better understanding of the environmental impact of online activities.
Targeted competences:
a) Knowledge – links between digitalisation and environmental impact.
b) Skills – adopting more responsible online practices.
c) Attitudes – awareness and accountability regarding personal choices.
– To promote intercultural dialogue and European values by creating at least six intercultural media products (videos, articles, mini-campaigns), published online and later used in educational activities.
Indicators: number of products created, online reach and interactions, qualitative feedback.
Targeted competences:
a) Knowledge – cultural diversity and European values.
b) Skills – media production, intercultural communication.
c) Attitudes – tolerance, respect, solidarity.
These objectives were defined based on consultation with young people during the preparation phase. The majority indicated that social media is their primary source of information and that they lack practical tools to verify content. The need for hands-on digital competences, intercultural dialogue, and safe spaces for expression was directly integrated into the project design.
The project contributes to:
– strengthening youth work practice through participatory non-formal methods;
– developing transversal competences such as critical thinking, communication, and leadership;
– increasing the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in international learning processes;
– enhancing cooperation between partner organisations and their capacity to implement educational initiatives in the field of digital literacy.
From a youth work perspective, the project goes beyond information transfer. It fosters an educational practice where young people become co-creators of the learning process and active actors within their communities.

Uygulama

The project includes two main activities – a Preparatory Visit (APV) and a Youth Exchange (YE) – supported by preparatory and follow-up phases that ensure quality, inclusion and sustainability of results.
– The Preparatory Visit (APV) will take place in Romania and will gather 10 representatives (group leaders, coordinators and one young participant with fewer opportunities) from all partner organisations. During the APV, the educational programme, partner responsibilities, accessibility, safeguarding and sustainability measures, as well as risk management and communication procedures will be finalised. This activity is essential for strengthening the capacity of less experienced organisations and ensuring inclusive and well-coordinated implementation.
– The Youth Exchange (YE) will bring together 44 participants: 36 young people (aged 18–25) and 8 leaders/staff members (6 group leaders + 2 support staff). The activity will last 7 programme days (excluding travel days) and will be based on non-formal education methods focusing on media literacy, digital citizenship, intercultural dialogue and eco-digital responsibility.
Indicative programme structure:
– Day 1: ice-breakers, trust-building, introduction to Erasmus+ and the Youthpass process
– Day 2: foundations of media literacy, fact-checking labs, simulations
– Day 3: digital citizenship, EU values, online safety and ethical behaviour
– Day 4: eco-digital challenge on “digital waste” and digital footprint awareness
– Day 5: intercultural collaboration and co-creation of media products (videos, blogs, mini-campaigns)
– Day 6: peer-to-peer mentoring, “Digital Ambassador” pathway, national follow-up planning
– Day 7: final evaluation, Youthpass reflection, closing ceremony
Post-mobility, each national group will organise at least one local activity (workshop, presentation or online campaign) within three months, collectively reaching a minimum of 200 young people.
Non-formal learning methods include:
– interactive workshops and practical exercises
– role plays and simulations
– eco-digital challenges
– group projects and media co-creation
– intercultural evenings
– peer-to-peer mentoring
– daily reflection journals and feedback circles
– structured Youthpass process integrated daily
Number and distribution of participants:
– Romania (host): 6 participants + 1 leader
– Bulgaria: 6 participants + 1 leader
– Germany: 6 participants + 1 leader
– Spain: 6 participants + 1 leader
– Türkiye: 6 participants + 1 leader
– North Macedonia: 6 participants + 1 leader
Total YE: 36 participants + 6 leaders + 2 support staff = 44 persons
Total project (including APV): 54 persons directly involved.
Participant profile:
– young people aged 18–25, active online and exposed to misinformation risks
– at least 24 out of 36 participants with fewer opportunities (rural youth, NEETs, migrants/refugees, minorities, young people facing economic or social obstacles)
– motivated to act as multipliers in their communities
– interested in media literacy, digital citizenship and intercultural dialogue
Gender balance and country equality will be ensured through equal quotas per partner and a distribution as close as possible to 50/50. If imbalances occur, recruitment calls will be adjusted to encourage underrepresented groups.
Accessibility and support measures:
– physically accessible venues
– simplified and bilingual materials
– language support from group leaders
– use of visual tools to overcome language barriers
– reinforced mentoring for participants with fewer opportunities
Virtual components:
– online preparatory meetings before mobility (Zoom, WhatsApp)
– shared platforms for collaboration and dissemination (Google Drive, Padlet)
– online post-project meeting to coordinate follow-up activities
Youth involvement in co-creation:
The project was shaped through needs analysis surveys and focus discussions, which showed that most young people rely on social media for news and rarely verify sources. During the exchange, participants will co-facilitate workshops, create intercultural media products in mixed teams and act as Digital Ambassadors in their communities.
Through this structure, the activities are directly aligned with the project objectives, combining experiential learning, inclusion and community-based impact transfer.

Sonuçlar

Through the implementation of the project “Your Digital Passport”, we expect concrete, measurable and sustainable results at individual, organisational and community level, as well as a clear
