We work in the social, cultural, artistic, educational and health fields, and we encourage every young person who gains experience to support the next one.<\/p><p>We aim to reach young people across T\u00fcrkiye, especially in I\u011fd\u0131r and other provinces with fewer opportunities, to help them gain knowledge, skills and attitudes, and to make these experiences something they can share. Our projects cover a wide range of topics, from education and psychology to digital literacy and social inclusion.<\/p><\/div><a class=\"gz-textlink\" href=\"\/en\/projeler\/\">Our projects Gen\u00e7lik Grubu, we started taking part in Erasmus+ youth exchanges as a partner.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li class=\"gz-timeline__item gz-accent--blue\"><span class=\"gz-timeline__year\">2016<\/span><div class=\"gz-timeline__body\"><h3 class=\"gz-timeline__title\">I\u011fd\u0131r Avrupa Birli\u011fi Gen\u00e7lik Derne\u011fi is founded<\/h3><p class=\"gz-timeline__text\">Educators from different fields founded the association in I\u011fd\u0131r as I\u011fd\u0131r Avrupa Birli\u011fi Gen\u00e7lik Derne\u011fi (I\u011fd\u0131r European Union Youth Association), to support young people&#039;s social and personal development through lifelong learning.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li class=\"gz-timeline__item gz-accent--sky\"><span class=\"gz-timeline__year\">2017<\/span><div class=\"gz-timeline__body\"><h3 class=\"gz-timeline__title\">Our new name: Gen\u00e7 Zihin Derne\u011fi<\/h3><p class=\"gz-timeline__text\">At an extraordinary general assembly on 27 May 2017, we changed our name to Gen\u00e7 Zihin Derne\u011fi (GEZ\u0130DER, Young Intelligence Association). The same year we joined many youth exchanges and youth worker trainings with partners from Austria to Spain and from Ireland to Cyprus.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li class=\"gz-timeline__item gz-accent--blue\"><span class=\"gz-timeline__year\">2018<\/span><div class=\"gz-timeline__body\"><h3 class=\"gz-timeline__title\">Our statute is renewed<\/h3><p class=\"gz-timeline__text\">Our updated statute was reviewed by the I\u011fd\u0131r Provincial Directorate of Associations on 8 August 2018.<\/p><a class=\"gz-textlink\" href=\"https:\/\/gezider.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/GEZIDER_TUZUK_R040818.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read the statute (Turkish) \u2192<\/a><\/div><\/li><li class=\"gz-timeline__item gz-accent--orange\"><span class=\"gz-timeline__year\">2019<\/span><div class=\"gz-timeline__body\"><h3 class=\"gz-timeline__title\">Our first coordination: a Sivil D\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn study visit<\/h3><p class=\"gz-timeline__text\">We coordinated a study visit on entrepreneurship and self-awareness for young people at risk, approved by Sivil D\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn, the EU-funded civil society support programme in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li class=\"gz-timeline__item gz-accent--green\"><span class=\"gz-timeline__year\">2020<\/span><div class=\"gz-timeline__body\"><h3 class=\"gz-timeline__title\">Our first approved Erasmus+ project: Play Like a Scientist<\/h3><p class=\"gz-timeline__text\">In our first Erasmus+ project as applicant, approved by the Turkish National Agency, we taught young people scientific research methods through art.<\/p><a class=\"gz-textlink\" href=\"\/en\/projeler\/play-like-a-scientist\/\">See the project \u2192<\/a><\/div><\/li><li class=\"gz-timeline__item gz-accent--sky\"><span class=\"gz-timeline__year\">2025<\/span><div class=\"gz-timeline__body\"><h3 class=\"gz-timeline__title\">Our first ESAA hosting: EU Green Deal<\/h3><p class=\"gz-timeline__text\">With the EU Green Deal project, supported by ESAA (Erasmus Student and Alumni Alliance), we were a host under ESAA for the first time.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li class=\"gz-timeline__item gz-accent--orange\"><span class=\"gz-timeline__year\">2026<\/span><div class=\"gz-timeline__body\"><h3 class=\"gz-timeline__title\">Our own system and new events to host<\/h3><p class=\"gz-timeline__text\">We moved membership, volunteering and event processes to GZenter, the association&#039;s own system.
