Amaç

The project "S.L.A.Y. – Sparking Learning Adventures for Youth" aims to strengthen the skills of youth workers in designing, facilitating, and evaluating non-formal educational activities, enhancing the quality of youth work and its impact on young people.

Through innovative methodologies and practical tools, youth workers will be able to create more engaging and inclusive learning experiences, tailored to the needs of the groups they work with. The goal is to increase the confidence and autonomy of youth workers in leading educational activities, reducing dependence on expert trainers and enhancing the capacity of partner organizations to promote meaningful learning processes.

The project will also encourage the sharing of best practices among youth workers from different countries, fostering international cooperation and the dissemination of innovative approaches in youth work.

Uygulama

The project includes a series of structured activities aimed at strengthening the skills of youth workers in designing and facilitating non-formal educational activities. The preparation phase consists of online meetings and virtual training sessions to introduce participants to the project's content and ensure alignment on the methodologies used.

During the 7-day residential Training Course in Italy, 25 participants and 2 trainers, selected by partner organizations, will engage in interactive sessions, hands-on facilitation exercises, and co-design activities. The group will consist of youth workers, educators, and facilitators actively involved in youth work, aged at least 18 years old, with a good command of English. The participation of individuals with fewer opportunities will be ensured, representing at least 40% of the total.

At the end of the Training, the follow-up phase includes dissemination activities such as sharing tools and methodologies learned, organizing local workshops, and supporting their own organizations in integrating the acquired skills into their professional context. The project's sustainability will be ensured through the creation of a collaboration network among participants and their organizations, the development of accessible online educational resources, and the integration of new approaches into the long-term strategies of partner organizations.

Sonuçlar

The project aims to produce concrete results and a lasting impact on the skills of youth workers, partner organizations, and local communities. Participants will gain practical tools and innovative methodologies to design and facilitate more effective educational activities, promoting a more structured and inclusive approach to youth work. Partner organizations will benefit from increased internal capacity to train and support their youth workers, improving the overall quality of their activities.

The impact will extend beyond the direct participants through follow-up and dissemination activities, ensuring that the knowledge gained is transferred to other youth workers and community members. Best practices developed during the project will be shared through social media, websites, blogs, and educational platforms such as Salto-Youth, expanding the project's reach at the European level.

In the long term, the project will help strengthen cooperation between European youth organizations, creating a network of continuous support and exchange. Thanks to the confidence and skills acquired, participants will implement local initiatives involving at least 800 people directly and over 9,000 indirectly. The adoption of the developed methodologies within organizational strategies will ensure the project's sustainability and long-term effectiveness.
